Title: Support for CR3 files

It would be great if we could get support for CR3 files generated by some Canon cameras like the EOS M50.

Our RAW format support module uses LibRaw (https://www.libraw.org/) as a back-end to support digital camera raw formats. So as soon as LibRaw supports CR3, we'll support it too. They are working on it (https://www.libraw.org/node/2424) for sure, but please understand that supporting a new raw format by reverse engineering work is a difficult task. Patience.

I'm waiting cr3 support for long time.
Lets you know Astroarts announces Stellaimage8 processes CR3 with DNG coverter.

Any traction on this subject? CR3 has been out for a while. Is PI working on this?

the libRaw guys are talking about a public snapshot by Nov 30 that supports CR3.

If not, what would be the delay to obtain compatibility?
