The official documentation for PixInsight LE consists entirely on a set of hypertext markup language (.html) documents. The documentation material can be used with virtually any updated web browser; for example Microsoft® Internet Explorer version 5.0 or higher. In the event of errors, make sure to enable JavaScript and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) support in your browser preferences. Starting from version 1.0.1, PixInsight LE can be installed with or without a local copy of the official documentation. If you installed with local documentation, you can use the F1) main menu option to access the documentation on your system, and then no Internet connection will be strictly required by PixInsight LE. (If you installed PixInsight LE without local documentation, the Shift-F1). menu item will fail because the required documentation files will not be found. Note that the online help system can be accessed without caring of whether you installed or not a local copy of the documentation. The Shift-F1) main menu option is always available.
