Adam Block

Adam has pursued perfecting astro imaging for more than 30 years as a professional astronomer, astrophotographer, and imaging liaison to NASA, Universities, and various science endeavors. His work has been widely recognized as among the best in the world. His images have earned an astonishing 95 APODs (and counting). Adam is one of only a dozen people to receive the AIC Hubble Award for astroimaging, which recognizes significant and sustained contributions to the the astro-photography community. He is a highly sought after public speaker on the cosmos and imaging.

Adam's second love is teaching. His current mission is courseware and streaming episodes that helps get the most from images by teaching both technique and underlying principles of PixInsight and image processing. Adam Block Studios and Pixinsight TV (PixTV) have evolved over the years to be superb resources for deep learning of PixInsight. Adam's unique approach steers away from recipes that often don't quite work when it comes to image processing, and instead shares the tools and knowledge to go beyond the lessons—leading to mastery of PixInsight and the art of astrophotography.
