16.7h on M27

(1/1)

siovene:
Hello,
the SQM22 sky in Nerpio keeps giving me bang for the buck and just won't quit.

In the past four nights I have been imaging M27 and collected 16.7 hours. Although the external shell is not really very strong, I'm still satisfied, since I've seen that people that showed it really well did so with larger apertures than my meager 80mm.

Here's the result:

After a few processing attempts, I can't seem to show the Ha filaments near the core, as they drown in the OIII signal. Any tips?

Thanks in advance for your comments!
Salvatore.

Hi Salvatore,

Nice M27!  I always love seeing a good image from another 80mm, 600mm-f.l. refractor! A nice image like this gives me inspiration. I'm really glad to see that you got some of the faint outer part of the nebula.

Thanks Marek!

Good pic Salvatore,
Lots of O3 signal in there. Can you mask in a lesser processed Ha O3 central area. I'm new to PI so don't know how to do that yet.
