This is really a wish for this forum rather than for PixInsight.   It would be nice to be able to use some filters when searching--eg date, author, subject. I did a search on deconvolution and it turned up loads of pages. I think 25 from memory. Too much to wade through quickly

Since you mentioned searching by the user/author of posts it seems you've only used the search box on the top right. How about the actual search page? http://pixinsight.com/forum/index.php?action=search

Sometimes I use Google, adding...

site:pixinsight.com/forum/

...after the search string (ex: deconvolution site:pixinsight.com/forum/)
