My first fully narrowband colour image.  Chose to do it in Hubble Palette.  Quite happy with the result, but would really appeciate any feedback/critique.

Hi troy,

Nice first try! IMHO the picture is to green in total; the different layers of the nebula are not visible..
What did you use for combination; PixelMath?

Clear Skies!!

Beautiful data, very nice result... but I agree, I'll bet a different color mapping will bring you even more happiness with the image. Would you consider posting it to the Processing Challenge thread to allow others (me!) to work with the data? In my eyes, this type of image could benefit from some blending experimentation.

Either way, great image.

Nice detail Troy, but I agree about the green.  There's an article by Bob Franke ( http://bf-astro.com/hubbleP.htm) where he shows how to play around with the colours in Photoshop to get a good result.  It may be worth looking at for the principles involved  (rather than the methods) and to see the final result he is aiming at.  If it can be done in PS then I expect it can be done better in PixInsight.

Thanks guys.  I just posted the master FITS files in the challenge section.  Have at it.  :)
