Extremely valuable and a great help Mike!
Thank you very much for your efforts.  The contour maps and the orientation of the elongation are quite valuable.

I typically try to think of my elongation  in terms of aspect ratio of the ellipse  such as 1:1 is perfect circle and 2:1  is two time elongated on major axis.  That coupled with the orientation of the elongation (which you supply in a wonderful line map) is fairly natural.   But your data is there and presented very nicely.

Given tables and so on (and time) I may 'someday' have a better 'feel' for translation of 'eccentricity' to elongation ration.   It is difficult for one not well versed in statistical geometric properties (myself) to think about how significant a change is how bad in the real star images.  I'll get it someday.

So thanks for an amazing tool and I certainly will be using it frequently.
Mark

Thank you Mark,
I waffled several times on elongation measures, and whether or not to provide a user selectable choice in the dialog. Different script versions do things differently. A user option is probably the best choice, maybe I can go back and add that sometime. I also need to get my courage up to work on compatibility with the new stuff.
Thanks,
Mike

Hello Mike. Where can I download your script? I can't  find a link. Thanks.
