As part of the work we are undertaking to renew our website, today we have uploaded a revised version of our FAQ page to remove some obsolete entries, fix broken links and keep many of them up-to-date:

As we have been reading and receiving many questions similar to is PixInsight a replacement for Photoshop , or even is PixInsight a cheap replacement for PS, as a recurring topic, I've thought it's time to write a specific FAQ entry to state clear some important facts; among them:

1. We don't intend to be cheap.
2. PI is no replacement for anything because PI is unique.
3. To be more specific, currently PS cannot replace PI.

It is FAQ # 1.11 on the page above.
